Another Twin Reverb 15" baffle question...
I have a '65 Reissue Twin Reverb. Mojotone just made an offset baffle for me and it doesn't work. On the reissue, there's a small metal housing on the right side (looking in from the back of the amp) that doesn't have enough room for the rim of the speaker to fit between the baffle and the housing. When I flipped the baffle so the speaker was on the transformer side, I was able to have the transformer fit through the speaker spokes, but I'll have to cut some of the piece of wood at the bottom that holds the screws that attach to the baffle (to accommodate the bottom of the speaker). I was hoping not to do any modifications to the amp in case I wanted to put the original baffle back on and sell it in the future. Any ideas on how to make it work? Thanks!
Have you called mojo? I'm pretty sure they know the doghouse is there.
Does the doghouse interfere with the speaker, or just prevent installation? You might try pulling the chassis to install the speaker. I find it odd that they'd sell you one that doesn't work.

2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Thanks guys. If I pull the chassis, and put in the baffle, there still won't be clearance between the speaker edge and the doghouse (new term for me...thanks, Lane) once I put the chassis back in. It's a Telonics speaker and the edge doesn't seem extraordinarily thick. I'll call Mojotone (it wasn't their fault...they do great work!). I'm wondering if I need the baffle to be thinner to accommodate the speaker edge. That said, I'll try taking the chassis out anyway.
