Well the time has come to ask. Yes the PP and they have to be black sound great in the standard double 10 so how about a single 10 PP is that a drawback..or is it just a case of what a particular instrument sounds like.

Well, I am very happy with the tone of my S10 P/P.But then it is black.

Scott,
i've heard a few great sounding S-10 P/P guitars,i don't think of a single neck as a draw back. It's what the guy playing it likes and like most things....some are just better than others!

I had an S-10pp and to me it didn't have the tone that my D-10 has. To me you need the whole guitar to get the tone. My S-10 was really thin. Just my two cents worth.

Had a student once who purchased a used S-10 P/P Emmons. It was the best sounding guitar I have ever played. If my D-10 P/P had sounded anywhere near that steel, I would never have sold it.
