Bar question - plastic?

Still reelin' from the British Steel Festival - great shows from everyone, especially Joe Wright and Doug Jernigan. Wondered what bars Scotty and Doug were using - they looked like plastic, or plastic covered. Scotty looked like he could lift the bar off the strings for trills very easily - I find this difficult - maybe I'm holding my bar wrongly. If these bars were plastic, they didn't seem to lessen the
sustain...

Were they maybe one of the Rajah bars? I have the Red Rajah, and one of their features is that your fingers tend to "stick" to them better than a regular bar. They are not plastic, but have some coating. Almost looks like some sort of spray paint, but I'm sure it's something more exotic than that. I like mine a lot and they are reasonably priced.

It was a version earlier than the Rajah, I believe, but from someone else..
Since discontinued.

I think it's the same bar L.T. Zin plays with.
A white ceramic on metal bar.

I have a Rajah and a Black Phoenix and they are great IMHO.

I think Scotty will elucidate this point shortly.

A forumite, Dave Mason, just sent me a 1 3/8 inch plastic bar to use for really fast lines etc.
Interesting, still checking it out.
