Back in the 60s I decided to take guitar lessons and my teacher was a great player on both steel and guitar. He used the Oahu method on Spanish as well as Hawaiin guitar. I started teaching at his studio a few years later and we used the Oahu method for a solid basis of guitar methodology. I made it thru lesson 108 or so...haha. Just curious if any of the rest of you studied guitar with that approach. I still have all of those lessons...they were pretty nice as they had music theory and music history. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Very interesting, Dustin. I wonder if she took from my instructor, Bill Pruitt. His main studio was in Ponca City, and had several studios in various towns...I cant remember if B'vile was one of them. Thanks for responding. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Larry, as we have discussed Bill Pruitt was my teacher first in Blackwell - the a tornado came through - then in Wellington, KS - then I taught with him - He lived and had a store in the 60's and also taught in Bartelsville and maybe others -
He made me wait until I was out of the first grade so I started the weekend after at 6 years old (I actually started with Joe Mays and he sold out or whatever to Bill) - did not know the details but did not care at 6 or 7 years old.
