I'd appreciate it if someone would post some close-up pictures of the half-tone stop mechanism that MSA used on their old Classic model steels. I have a friend who wants to add a half-tone stop (on his 2nd string), but can't "picture" in his mind how it operates.

The one I'm thinking about has an adjustable spring and thumb-screw assembly. The half-stop was tuned by reaching under the guitar and turning the knurled thumb-screw. Thanks, ...Tom

Best half stop made I think. Got them on both my Emmons P/P's. I just used the cross bar on guitars instead of a bracket mounted to body.
