Only caught the last 10 minutes or so of it, but ouch! Not a very favorable impression left by the company.

Yeah I saw that....unfortunately Peavey has succumbed to the economic pressure of the Far East......

I saw it and was very disappointed in the ending. After giving the employees money and vacations to help their situations, four months later they announced that the factory they worked in was closing, gave them notice, and said that a lot of manufacturing done there was moving to China.

The worst part was when they said that after that four months, Peavey was still working on fulfilling their promises to those employees. I'm surprised that they even allowed that part to be aired! Shocked

Here's an interesting story from the show's producer: www.cbs.com/shows/undercover_boss/news/1003833/

I couldn't stay awake for the end.

That's shocking Jim, considering earlier the boss was proud of still being an all-American company.

Now that I think about it, the post-hippie image he portrayed for a wanna-be is confusing.
His image of musicians or potential employees?

I saw it. The problems the employees presented are too often how a company is managed. The Los Angeles showroom production was a disaster and heads should roll there, not give the guy that worked there the bonus.

Peavey has been moving most production out of the US for several years. They had kept some high end Tube production in the US (according to the local Peavey dealer) but from the show it appears that is being moved to China too. He also mentioned speaker production (e.g. Black Windows) has been moved to China. Its apparent that Peavey has bowed to the "corporate bean counters".

I bought Peavey Revalver software for my recording studio last year when it was Musician's Friend "stupid deal of the day". I had some issues with it trying to download and install the available update and the support (and apparently programming) for that is in Europe.

The local Peavey dealer has been put in a spot by production. He can't get orders promptly anymore and two years ago stock that he ordered for Christmas sales didn't come in until June of the next year.

But to be fair, he said Mackie called him about being a Mackie dealer and he asked him about what product he could get right away and they were "waiting on stock from overseas production" too.
