New Member Checking In

Post by Roger Watson »

Hi Folks, Just wanted to stick my head in the door to say "Howdy". I've been visiting the Forum for the past couple of years and really enjoying all the info. After playing steel in an Opry show here in North Texas for the past 20 years, I finally earned enough money for the $5.00 Membership fee.

Welcome Sir! Your post makes me wonder how many professional steel player-lurkers have a problem with coming up with the 5$ to join?

There is great money in this... the only problem is finding it!! :)

Roger... You wouldn't happen to be from Burkburnett? I think we know one another!
Take care

Mike, I am in fact from Burkburnett since 1978. I am, however a Florida native. I grew up with a guy named Mel Tillis in Pahokee, FL. Give me an e-shout at graygator70@gmail.com`and we'll catch up. Thanks to the Forum, you're the second friend I've been able to make contact with. The other is Pete Martell from Washington State. We lost contact over 40 years ago. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

I play for my living and, when I joined the Forum in 1999, there was no admission fee so there was no fiscal hurdle to overcome.

Couldn't afford it now... :)

Roger, Keep Naples COUNTRY. My son and his family live in Naples and we visit every year. Maybe we can get together on our next trip.
