This singer is an Estonian lady Airi Allvee, who has her 'round' birthday today. So I decided to post her song (also because I played some GFI on that recording:)
GFI Ultra SD-10, BearCreek Weissenborn, Hermann Baritone Weiss, National Polychrome Tricone, Fender Champ Lapsteel, Quiter Micropro Mach 2 HD, Nashville 112, Zirconia bars, Bob Perry picks...

Birthday party was nonesuch as always. Thank you Charles for your kind words and for listening not so typical country. I try to play some 'real stuff' too. As I got nobody able to compete, I must fulfill here all PSG needs:)

Hello Tonu,

I really like your playing on this tune, you sound real good. I also enjoyed Airi's singing too.

A few years ago you bought some steel related item from me on the Forum. ?? Perhaps you can remind me what it was. ?
I lived in Everett, Washington at the time.

Thank You Roger! I bought almost everything steel guitar-related from forum members. Everything I can do now with PSG and Weiss is because of your help, dear friends. (But, Roger, I don't remember what item it was:)

Tonu, Your tone is very good to my ears. For whatever reason, I love the sound of PSG over top of a backing organ, especially if its a realistic B3 sound. I just think its a great combination of sound.

I have a question regarding your tone if I may ask... Did you record with your GFI? I have a GFI Expo X1 but I can't get my attack to sound like what you are getting on this recording. My attack sounds too trebly or even shrill as in I can hear too much of the contact of hard pick and steel string. I've tried eq'ing with some success but I still can't get near what I'm looking for. Sometimes I try picking up the neck away from bridge/pickup. Is it a volume pedal technique or something that I'm missing?

(I've been playing for about one year exactly and I'm making progress thanks to the generosity found around this website)

As you noticed, it's not a mixed version (vocals without any room effect etc), but steel-sound is final as an engineer trusted my taste:).Hammond B-3 is real and my licks are played without any knowledge, just by ear, using GFI Ultra through Sarno's Black Box and mic'd NV112. My neighbors allow me to play quite loud:) I use amp spring reverb (changed to Mod Reverb tank) and sometimes a'bit MXR Carbon Copy delay. Volume pedal helps with these unwanted attacks, but you can't play legato all the time. I'm not sure I understood what exactly is the problem. Trebly sound can be caused by different things. Hope somebody can give right advances here.
