The Buck Owens Show

Post by Ted Lowe Jr »

I don't know if anyone has posted this link before, but I ran across this on youtube, a bunch of Buck Owens TV shows from the mid 60's, with some great guitar & steel, courtesy of Don Rich & I assume Tom Brumley, some great picking & singing, that's for sure.

Well, we've had almost 55 years to do country music better than this, and we haven't done it yet.

Check out Tom playing C6 on the Tommy Collins song in that clip. First time I've noticed him doing that!

Hey Jim, in November of '98 my old bud Kenny Dail and I went to the Atlanta area to the Steel Guitar convention that was put on by Carl Dixon who used to post on here a lot.... Anyway, Tom did some C6th playing on a Rickenbacker frypan which was pretty dang impressive for sure...JH in Va.
