After having gotten used to my 7+7 setup on my S12extE9 I realized I could get some of the same possibilities on my D10 by using three of the C6 pedals for E9 changes.

LKL2
LKL1 LKV LKR p1 p2 p3 p4----p7 p8 RKL RKR
F# F G#
Eb D-C#
G# A
E F F# Eb F#
B C# C# Bb
G# G A A#
F# F G#
E F Eb
D C#
B C#

The C6 P4-P8 setup is = Buddy Emmons
The extra pull-rods did not make much difference to press the pedals.

P7 & P8 is played w right foot when used w the E9.
The lowering of 2&9 has to be on RKL!
Otherwise a lot of combinations will be hard/difficult to play.

Like you, I have the E to F# raise on LKV. For many years I've gone back and forth about having it on p3 as well. Think about it - how much do you use p3?

Recently I put the 5th string lower, which you have on p8, on p3. It works really well there, and I'm fiinding myself using it a lot more than I used the C pedal.

What's the trade-off? Well, I no longer have that real fast Bakersfield stomp on the C pedal. The knee is a little slower. Also, I've lost the ability to have B on 10 and C# on 5, which I used fairly often for a B9-based chord. That's the one I really miss.

The B to Bb is probably best implemented as a knee lever - that's the Newman way! - but even as a pedal it's a change that every E9th player should have.

I have tried the B-Bb on LKV but found it to be difficult to use it good since I use it in combinations w both E's-F and E's-Eb.
I know that using both feet on the pedals means you can't use the volume pedal at the same time but being able to add that Bb note on either the 6 or 5th string while playin A+B+LKR, A+B, A+F, A or F lever by itself was well worth the tradeoff.

There is 3 split tuned strings on the setup.
4th string F# & Eb = F
5th string C# & Bb = C
6th string A# & G = A

The B9 voicing that you mentioned would be playable using the C# on the 2nd string. Requires a larger grip on the RH but the voicing is there.

The P4 changes is not stricly neccesary but I find them nice to have using it in combination w LKR or RKL
