My new Carter has the 1st and second string raise on pedal 4 (day setup) I usually have it on RKL. I've never had a 4th pedal on E9 and want to give this a go for a while. What are the pros and cons on the floor?
thx

Since I use the Emmons E9 set-up, I've had strs. 1 & 2 on pedal #1 for the past several years. My main reason for putting it on the floor-pedal was because I didn't want to lose the older Emmons change on the RKL which Lowers #6 (1-Tone) and Raises #1 (1/2-Tone) When Buddy first started Raising just the 1st. str. 1-Tone, he had that on Pedal #8, along with the C6 Boo-Wah change! It's probably a little more practical on a KL, if it's used a lot and placed stratigically! I don't use the change that much.

I just moved it from a knee lever to pedal 0 (left of pedal one). I also don't use it enough to tie up a knee lever on it. I put pedal 0 on to be an experimental pedal but never found anything good to put on it. |

I use LKL raising strings 1 & 2 fairly often. It is useful on a knee lever as I use this change with pedals 1 & 2 down.
I should mention that I have 2 LKL on my U-12 guitars. My other LKL raises string 9 one and a half tones and lowers string 2 a whole tone. |

I'm kinda digging the change on a floor pedal. On my guitar it's a pretty short throw (a little stiff) but lets you do a nice pedal trill. It's cool to come off the trill and lower string 2 a half step.
