I recently solved a long-standing problem with my volume pedal. Even with a 1 inch lift kit, my pedal steel is too short when I use my volume pedal. I solved the problem by making a "mini stage" or platform with a cut-out for the volume pedal. I made the platform in two parts and bolt it together with bolts and wing nuts. It is small enough to fit in the trunk of my car. I covered the platform with indoor-outdoor carpeting. The guitar stays in place and does not wander. I have plenty of room for my right leg to operate the knee levers. It is the ultimate in low-profile volume pedals.

Triton bass boats now have a recessed area similar to your idea for trolling motor foot controllers, so that the fisherman's spine is not out of whack all day from having one foot operating the motor all day.

Karlis,
Excellent work and a great idea. I'm not particularly long of leg, but I can see what a help it would be for you and others who are. And the fact that you can take it with you is a real benefit.
I see the On-Stage Stand "PSG seat" in the picture. I found that a pretty good buy for the price.

Look at a post from Febuary in electronics:
'Lowest height pedal currently manufactured'
There's nothing new under the sun. |

Karlis, At 6'7" I gotta say: Pure genious!!Also, what kind of guitar is that in the picture? I ask because the pedals don't look normal size to me. What is the story? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? BW |

Billy, The guitar is a Remington Sustainmaster. I think the pedals look out of proportion because of foreshortening.
