Thanks to all for your kind comments ... this really was a labor of love. The Pro II sounds and plays better than new ...

Great job Rick & thanks for the pictorial. Love to see these old wood guitars brought back to a new play date down the road. Gives me some inspiration for my Pro III bought new in 1976!
James is a real asset and Sho~Bud guru as well as a great guy. I pray his health is improving

I talk to James a couple each day, and he's been feeling better each day. My prayers are with him each day!

Very, very good job Rick. It may have been a labor of love but still lots of hard work. Thanks for sharing the pictures of the process. I enjoyed very much. J.R.

Absolutely awesome! Who needs an new instrument when you see this? Wish I could have mine done this way and I'm pretty sure it sounds perfect.

You must be proud of that. I'm doing some work on my beautiful black lacquer MSA 12 - it is hard work but I love making the parts look new and play well - nice that we have this forum to show off to someone who cares. Any estimate of how many hours you put into this?

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I am very happy with how it turned out and how it plays.

Thanks. Bill, I probably have well over 100 hours in it, BUT this is my first refurb so I took my sweet time. A pro could probably turn this around in a week ...
