Henry Strzelecki, one of Nashville's most prolific bass players has passed away after being struck by a vehicle while out walking.
The accident happened on Dec. 22nd & he sustained serious injuries. He was placed in a coma in hospital & died on Dec. 30th. He was 75 years old.

I have seen Henry play with Chet many times. What a great bass player and a super guy. This is a very tragic loss. My sympathy to all of Henry's family.

Any bass player, or would be bass player had to idolize this great musician. He was on so many hits and sessions for many of the major vocalist.
He will be missed by so many in Nashville and throughout the world.
Condolences to his close friends and family.

So sad to hear. I have enjoyed his FaceBook page and his consarvitive views and had been considering linking as a FB friend. I too was not ready to lose a fine musician, whom I admired.

Re: R.I.P. Henry
I was present at that show as an audience member, it was a great band and performance. Of course, I sat at stage right, where Buddy and Russ were. Henry was on stage left and Charlie was up front.Douglas Bone wrote:Have Austin City Limits Super Pickers Album. Buddy, Phil Baugh, Henry, Charlie McCoy, Johnnie Gimble. My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
