I goof around on a G9230 -- got mine gently used for about $300 and it's certainly worth the money for a casual dobro player like myself. Probably wouldn't be a bad thing even for a more serious player to take to gigs. Nice electronics, and put through a fishman aura box with a little touch of reverb... sounds real nice. Recommended!
2 cheap dobros, several weird old lap steels, and one lifelong ticket to ride on the pedal steel struggle bus.

I got the Gretsch Box Car square neck. Good instrument for the money. I did go into it and cleaned up a few things like the spider was not trimmed at all. Its all the dobro I need.
