I fully realize that buying a musician a new pick, cord or guitar is like trying to buy mail order custom boots for somebody, but..........

How many of you had the good fortune of waking up to
a shiny new steel guitar; pedal or otherwise?

I woke up to a wonderful pedal steel in 1999. It was a 1974 Emmons S-10 beginner's model. It was my very first steel. I was eighteen at the time, and I was very excited! I played it at the first steel guitar show I ever played in Hollonville, Georgia.

Santa has a hernia, and with the weight of a pedal steel he would never get his reindeer airborne. Whoa!
They're not very aerodynamic, Skipper. Laughing

My husband surprised me with a Benoit Weissenborn, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It has this sweet, dark, woody tone.

Have never posted a picture. Hope this works.

Let me try this again. This was taken by the guy my husband bought it from. He takes better pictures.

I like the big picture, Adrienne; indeed, it may be
among the most beautiful I've seen--sweet, dark, woody.

Well for Christmas, I sold a Mullen SD 10 to a local want-a-bee.

I received the new Strymon 'Deco' pedal, amazing piece of gear. My wife observed me viewing the demo on line a few months back and preordered it back then.

That's a great piece of artwork, Adrienne. I love to see configurations like that in the wood. It's the sort of configuration that luthiers look for but commercial guitar builders, such as Gibson, avoid, so if you see any instrument with an interesting pattern such as that you can guarantee it's been built by a competent luthier who takes a pride in his work. Cool

I got a Mac Mini to use for recording.
It's nice and quiet with plenty of horse power and I/O's.
