String change question??

When changing strings, does anyone polish the top of the fingers?? Seems like a nice slick shiny surface would help the strings ring out more.

a light buffing with a soft cloth or even a blitz cloth probably doesn't hurt. continued polishing with any abrasive polish might cause some undue wear if your doing it every string change for years.
