Hey you guys from Austin?

Post by Larry Robertson »

No steel guitar on this YouTube video of Jerry Jeff singing 'Getting By' in 'Jam In The Van', but I am wondering if you guys in Austin might know who the other guys are. I Love this tune!

Hey Larry on that "in the van"...that is Jerry Jeff's current band and on Bass is Brad Fordom and the other two escape me right now.
ON the TExas connection show Paul just put up. That of course is Lloyd Maines on Steel and Bob Livingston on Bass.

Thanks for the link Paul. So who are the other guys in either video?? Especially the steel player. I think Texas Connection was also done in Austin as well as Jam in the Van, so I hoped the guys in Austin would know who the sidemen are.

The Texas Connection Show was filmed at KRLU Studios in Austin, I've done a few there. Same studio as Austin City Limits used until ACL moved downtown.

The band on the TX Connnection show was Lloyd on steel, Bob Livingston on bass, Steady Freddie Krc on drums, John Inmon on guitar, and some guy named Brian (:)) on piano.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
