My condolences to Kenny and his daughter.

I got to meet them both a year and a half ago at the City Winery in New York, then just saw the Time Jumpers last month in Red Bank, NJ. She was on the bill, but was not at the show, I'm very sad, really enjoyed her singing.

You made a lot of people's lives better!
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

Today is tomorrow's Good ol' days

I can only echo what Skip wrote, he said it so well - "and maybe ever was".......

I'm devastated by this loss of talent and soul.

Dawn Sears

Post by Roger Dillingham »

I am so very saddened to hear of this; I never had a chance to meet her...but she was indeed a very talented singer and a beautiful lady. In my opinion she will be greatly be missed by Nashville (or at least, she should be). I got to hear her and the Time Jumpers last year, August 2013 in my hometown of Madisonville, Kentucky. It was a wonderful performance and Dawn Sears was the icing on the cake! This is tragic news, and I know the entire group is devastated over this! May God bless and comfort Kenny and their family and all who knew this great lady and had a chance to enjoy her tremendous talent. Prayers going up on her behalf... Roger

This is sad news indeed, for years Dawn has been one of my favorite singers. What a voice, the world has lost a great voice. Blessings and prayers to the Sears' family, and tie lost.

Dawn Sears was a great singer, whether she was singing with Vince Gill or the Time Jumpers. I watched the "Sweet Memories" video and I loved her voice! RIP, Dawn Sears, you will be missed.

:( I have been praying for Dawn over the past year for the Lord to heal her and allow her to continue her life here, but his will won out over my selfish prayers to keep here here. I truly believe Dawn is now in the presence of the Lord. I will pray for the family and friends of Dawn to be comforted in knowing Dawn is now in heaven with no suffering of any kind. Another Flower for the masters bouquet.Go rest high Dawn sears.

Dawn was fantastic. I have seen her live a number of times with Vince Gill's band and also The Time Jumpers.

She struck me as the nicest and most gracious lady, first class all the way.

And what a singer.  I don't know what breaks she didn't get in Nashville to keep her from super stardom, but it didn't seem fair - they don't come any better.

I remember a few years ago at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in Golden Gate Park watching The Time Jumpers. I had recently been learning from my guitar teacher how to play the jazz standard, "All of Me" and the T-Jumpers played it that day with Dawn on the vocal.

I'll never forget commenting to my family and friends after it was over and the applause had died down - "now that is how the song should be sung!"

A sad day for our music. Prayers and comfort to Kenny and all the family. She was one of the greatest ever, Hall of Fame worthy and all that. It just doesn't work that way anymore, but those of us who know..know.

Dawn was one of my favourite singers in Nashville that I knew personally....a wonderful Lady.
My wife gave her and Carolyn a couple of little Koala

I will be going to the Brisbane Steel Guitar Club
