Thanks for the help, guys, I found help at the TE website, found a way to set up most of my copedent for E9, but haven't found a way to set up a lever or pedal that can raise a string and lower another, the pitch change seems to affect all strings selected, they either raise OR lower, not both. Is there a secret to doing that, seems to make C6 tab with pedal 6 impossible. I'm gonna write the app creator, that pitch change panel needs to be a panel that stays open all the time. For Mac, it's opening keyboard shortcut is Cmd-Shift-H, that helps a bit. But as often as you need to assign a pedal or KL, that panel should float, imho.
Haven't found a way to specify rests, anyone know the trick?
Is there a way to add lyrics?

You don't have to specify Rests. They should appear automatically... IF you have that measure(s) set to 4/4 time under Score/Time Signature.
Lyrics: you can add Text by clicking on the bold T , the Text Manager, enter your New text, and choose to place the text above, beneath, or into the tablature, or above the notation.

I think Tabledit works great for PSG. When you have applied Pedal Steel Guitar in the module, you just click e.g. SHIFT+A to get a Pedal A pitch change. No need to open the Pitch Change window if you are happy with the copedents. I didn't change anything. All seems to work fine now in the Mac version.

I have got a lot of tabs from SGF and this year will try to repay the debt. i won't even try TE but i do like the look of Andy Keens Keentab . It was made for steel guitar and the more who use it the better it is for everyone. I feel we need a standard which all use and a lot of work has gone into this and it deserves a go.
It seems that TE is not very user friendly and Keentab seems very simple. And thanks to Andy.
