My mother, Bebe Svenddal, who just passed away 2 weeks ago, played many instruments very well all her life. While playing mostly guitar, she played banjo, dobro and mandolin as well as pedal steel. She had a Sho-Bud single neck. I could not play guitar like her but I was better on the steel.

Here she is playing guitar at a Christian Camp in Canada.

Here is a video from A coffee house in Wisconsin.
She plays dobro at 1:20

Amy McIntyre of Lewisburg, WV is soon to be added to this list. All she need to do is buy the Stage One, Volume Pedal and Amp. She has the advantage of a perfect right hand.

Female pedal steel guitarists.

In the mid 70's, I had the pleasure of working with Sylvia Garris. She had been Audrey William's steel player. I have no pics but have some recordings of the band. She was a very good player.

Double entry: Joan Herndon and Joan Cox are one and the same player.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

I played in Dianne Leigh’s band in Toronto. Our steel player was Bev West. She was a good player and played an early Fulawka.
I don't know much but what I know I know very well.
Carter S-10 3X5, Peavey Nashville 112, plus Regal dobro and too many other instruments to mention.

I don’t think I saw Wanda Vick in this compilation. She’s a multi-instrumenatalist that was great on anything she played. I think she was in the all girl, band Wild Rose. May have also been a connection with the late Bobbe Seymour.

Megan plays lap steel in Larkin Poe and they are having great success currently, even touring internationally. I don’t know the sisters last name.

I also haven’t seen Patti Maxine mentioned.
