Closet Classic Sho Bud Pro 1 3x2 Rare Green Finish NEW PRICE

Post by Ryan Gimpert »

This is a true closet classic Sho-Bud which has been played very little in it's life - there are no bar dings, all metal parts are gleaming, and the finish is still a brilliant green color. The only things I've done is to lube it to make it playable, and one minor copedent change.

I'd put the build date somewhere in the mid-70's based on it's attributes (wide pedals, two hole pullers, square front, double lower/single raise slotted changer). Right now it's a 3x2 with RKL lower E's and RKR raising them.

Includes original case and leg bag.

I can send or post more photos if there is sufficient interest.

I am looking for $1700 shipped in the CONUS.

1984 Es335 Dot to trade

Post by Larry Berwald »

Hi Ryan,

Have this 1984 ES 335 Dot to trade towards your Sho Bud if you are interested. The Gibson has had extra dots added to the fretboard and has a small pro-repaired headstock crack. It is a great guitar with a period correct case. The dot issue can be repaired with a refret. I could get that taken care of or you could do it.

Thanks Larry Berwald

And here's mine that's a bit darker blue green! A '73. Yours looks like a '74 to me.

Looking for $1800 plus shipping or interesting trade offers - vintage Gibson (LP Deluxe, Firebird or Epiphone Al Caiola) or Fender (Tele, Strat, Jazzmaster) guitars especially.

Hi Ryan,

I have a 1964 Fender Telecaster, very rare with original mahogany body and trans red finish, very clean and all original including the ashtray and hard case and a 1966 Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue all original with a Fender reissue case and a whole lot more if you have any interest, I can email you an inventory.

I'd love to work a trade for your Pro 1.

Thanks,
Andy

Great looking guitar! I suspect it originally was a blue color and has faded over the years. I have a 1976 Pro IIII that was shipped blue from Sho~Bud and faded to the exact same color as Ryan's Pro I. Not the typical deeper green color (not teal as one might suspect either) used on most LDG's and others that were ordered GREEN.
Someone buy Ryan's closet find!

Kevin, I am pretty sure it's always been green. It's in such great shape - it couldn't have spent much time out of the case to fade.
