carter D-10 laquer finish gutiar

I have a 1999 birdseye maple D-10 carter with the Emmons standered set up on both necks. this guitar was sent back to carter for a tune up and have the BCT added I bought the guitar in 2010 and installed a b/l ar-16 pick up on the e-9th neck and a bl-710 pick up on the c-6th neck this guitar has been in my recording studio sense I bought it! it plays great nd looks great Ithas a few hairline cracks at the changer but all laquer finish guitars do.

After 1997 all Carters came with BCT. Yours must be a 97 or earlier. I bought mine in 97 and sent it back to have bct installed also. Great Guitars

Posting the serial number will solve the question of the year model. But this is a nice looking guitar and a good price for it. Not a lot of lacquered Carter's come up for sale. As for BCT or Pre-BCT...I've had both and much prefer the tone of the Pre-BCT models. I know there are others that share that same opinion.

BCT stands for body contact technology. After 97 Carter guitars started building their guitars with the changer touching the body of the guitar resulting in a warmer tone. Some like it, some don't, I personally prefer it. To each his own
