Two note C A B

Post by Tim Sheinman »

I have just got this and well...I will put some more about it when I have tested it more thoroughly, but I think that it may well be the solution to a lot of issues you and I have all had regarding going direct and limiting volume.

Basically it is a very sophisticated mic and cab simulator with a lot of simple, powerful tone control, which can be paired with your favourite pre amp to create a great noise. Check it out.

The VST "wall of sound" plugin is also very good and a nice entry point price-wise. I love the Alnico speaker + ribbon mic – I use that combo a lot for recording guitar and lap steel. I never use the power amp, EQ etc., so the pedal has more than I need. It's a cool piece of kit for sure though. Carl Martin Rock Box has been a favorite of mine for a while as a "no frills" alternative for live DI use.
