****Veterans Day, What Branch did you serve in?***********
To all that have served, past or present, thank you for your service to our country.
We are still the greatest nation, EVER!
To those that have made the ultimate sacrifice, I stand today with a reverence.
Today is about those that have served and those that have indeed made the ultimate sacrifice.
Again, I thank each of you for your service.

US Air Force, 1955 to 1963.
I was at Hahn AB, Germany - 1956-59, Taipei, Taiwan - 1961/62 for overseas assignments.
Basic Training at Sampson AFB, NY.
The rest of the time was spent at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Ms. Ground (Morse code) Radio Operator School, Instructor at the Ground Radio Operator School. Tech Control school and Instructor in the Tech Control School.
This is the only picture I could find. It had to be June 1955 when I graduated from basic training.

WOW....
What a great response. Reminds me of a SeaBee Unit I was in, "We Build, We fight".....and at the end the day....we play a little steel guitar.
Great hearing from each of you. If any of you plan to attend the Dallas show in 2015, I would love to meet you. First Round of Drinks on me.

USMC 1976-1980. I met Dick Sexton at Cherry Point. Remember when I was new there, the day, my Sgt. took me over to MACS-6 (a similar unit to ours) to introduce me around. He introduced me to the shop and said I play steel guitar. SSgt. Sexton was sitting at a bench working on a GRC-112. His head spun around, he stood up, stuck out his hand and said "Hi son, I'm Dick Sexton". Funny, I remember it like it was yesterday.
USMC is a small small world.
