Anyone use one EFFECTIVELY on steel, which one, how much $$$? _________________ '70 D10 Black fatback Emmons PP, Hilton VP, BJS bars, Boss GE-7 for Dobro effect, Zoom MS50G, Stereo Steel amp, Telonics 15” speaker.

I used a Roland GK-2A thru a Roland GR-30 on my emmons for a while.
It's only a 6 pos pickup so i put it under strings 3 thru 8.
The organ sounds were especially good.
Pulled off some pretty good banjo too.
I still have the whole rig, probably should put it up on here to sell.

Many years ago I used a Roland Synth on various tunes when needed. I can't remember the model. It was Monophonic though, so great for just single notes...No chords.I think Emmons toyed around with one. The trumpet sounds were soooo realistic
