In Ear Monitors

Post by Paul Sutherland »

What do you recommend? I'm considering getting a set. I will get custom molded for sure.

I have only one experience with in ear monitors, but they were not custom, they did not fit well, and they generally sounded terrible. I'm looking for something way better, and I know I'll have to spend some money. That's ok if they're good.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.

I recently bought 1964 V6S. They were recommended by several players at my church. They were pricey but I went with the recommendation to "invest".

Always keep in mind: In ear monitors will sound only as good as the board sending to them. I've been using PSM200 Shures for years and sometimes they sound great and others...

Bill, I also just ordered the 1964 V6S. I haven't received them yet but they were highly
recommended by other band members. They are also priced much cheaper than
Westone and Ultimate ears. I've been using the Shure 535 with custom sleeves but wanted the custom molds

Paul, you should definitely check out the 1964 ears before you buy

Thanks for the recommendations. Seems like either Westone or 1964 Ears would be good.

Throw some bungee chords on a pair of D120's. That should do ya.

Sorry Paul. Felling a little spunky today.
