I am sad to announce that I can not make the show this year due to getting hired on a new job at home. I start next week and there is no possible way to get off for a few days that I would need for the show. I will try my best to make it next year when things have calmed down with work and college. Thank you Bobby for the invite and hope you have a great show!!

Regretfully and Sadly, Jean and I will not be able to make the show. We was so looking forward to it. Due to some health issues, We feel we should not get to far from home and our Doctors.
Thank you Bobby for the invitation, and hope we can make the next one. We will miss all of our friends and all the great pickers. God Bless, Larry and Jean

I really wanted to play this show. I've been practicing for weeks to get ready, BUT as luck would have it my grandsons football team made the playoff's and will be playing for the championship that weekend. Because I'm one of the coaches I can't get out of it. I'm very sorry Bobby but don't forget me for future shows. If I can come I will, but only to listen and visit. You and your show is the best.
Thanks for the invite.

Fantastic show!

Post by Larry Dering »

What a show. Dave Bolin, Mike and Joanie Johnson, Joe Wright, Amber Martin, Lynn, and a take no prisoners band with Greg Galbraith and Rick Boyer. I can't remember the drummers name but I can tell you he was excellent. The sound was great and the players on there game. Bobby did a fine job and even sang a tender ballad of the Unknown Soldier. I was touched by the words and playing of the great Ron Elliot, his tone and touch on the steel is always sweet and heavenly. I feel sorry for any player who missed this show. Thank you Bobby for another show i will always remember.

No camera

Post by Larry Dering »

Sorry Paul, i am not a camera guy. Hopefully someone else will chip in here. Just an outstanding effort on all counts. I almost missed this as my wife is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and i wasn't sure she would be able to attend. She wanted me to go so she pushed ahead and insisted we make it. I cannot tell you what an effort that was on her part. My partner for 30+ years and she loves the steel guitar. Am i lucky or what?

Bobby, Thank you so much for your kind invitation to play in your Shows in Benton ILL. We enjoyed the music and the Friendship from everyone. Your entire staff was wonderful in helping setup on stage, loading and unloading our equipment. All the guys and girls were so helpful. Don Lampley was so great in setup and sound,...also his bass-playing and singing on the shows. Thank you so much, and should you need us again, we are here for you. Leslie and I look forward to seeing you, Mary Lou and all you staff again. Leslie and Ron Elliott.

If you had to miss this show you missed one of the very best. Bobby goes all out to put on a great show and this one was no exception. In his shows there is something for everyone regardless of what you like. Great players who played their hearts out and great singers plus a top notch band. Can't beat it no matter where you go. Thanks Bobby and staff for putting on a first class show.......looking forward to next year....clark and lucy :)

I absolutely had a blast at the show and got to meet so many wonderful players and people. I have wanted to meet Ron Elliot for a long time now and I certainly was not disappointed, the man was amazing. All the performers were great and I sure plan on being back there!
Thanks for a great day!
