As I understand it, Paul Franklin invented the Pedalbro, and it's most fameous recording to-date is Randy Travis's "Forver and Ever Amen". But I get the impression it is a pretty rare instrument, and most of the recording work is done by Paul with his particular Pedalbro. How many Pedalbros are out there in the steel playing population at large, and how often does the instrument get recorded (Paul has already said in another thread he uses it about once a month in the studio)? Just out of curiosity, how many SGF members own one? Who manufactures them? (Do I wish I owned one? Of course.)

Not sure but they only made about 25 or so.
The only one I've seen was on the "I'm no stranger to the rain" Video by Keith W.

Hi Bill,
I believe they are called a Pedabro. If I recall, they are "VERY" expensive. Paul Jr. has some info on his website.
Not to change the subject, but have you picked a date for your next steel jam??

CrowBear, I should do a search before I ask questions. Very good.

Pat, I'm not quite there but it's getting to look like the jam will land on 4/3. Once I finalize the date (this week), I'll make a whole buncha noise about it. (Just like I do on my PSG.)
