Boss Digital Reverb RV2 verses Boss Digital Reverb RV5

Post by Ron Scott »

Is the sound about the same on both these units. I'm looking to buy A boss Digital Reverb RV2 but can only find a RV5. Any Advice would be appreciated. RS

I like the RV-3 better. It has reverb and delay. I use it
with my Nashville-112 and gives me a sound I really like.

As I recall, the RV-2 is identical to the RV-3, except it runs either only on battery or only on power supply, don't remember which. The subsequent models, including the RV-5, had no delay options.

Thanks everyone for your input. I was just thinking of adding a reverb pedal for a deeper sound. I already use a DD3 for Delay that I really like. I hear some steel players that have a great sound like David Hartley does.I don't know everything he uses but the sound he has is good. He said he uses the RV2 but that can't be the only reason for the great sound he gets on youtube video's. RS
