Paul, I recently listened to your "Play By Play" Lp. I think it's one of the best steel guitar recordings every made. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's an 11.
I think it's time to reissue this on CD. This music is too wonderful to remain unavailable to your many fans and admirers.
Mike

I agree Mike,
I have it on cassette and I no longer have any players that work any more, the drive belts have all deteriorated, so all can do is look at the cover.

That's sad Craig. If you're ever in Fort Worth,we could sit in my car and listen to it. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Please put me down as a potential customer. I'd like to have it on cassette or cd. I haven't used my cassette player in a long while, but I'll bet it works. Paul, it you have it for sale would you please let me know? Thanks in advance. |

All is not lost, Craig. There are many services that will transfer your cassette to whatever medium you desire for a very nominal fee.

If that's too costly, possibly a friend or even a Forum member with the necessary equipment could do it for you. |

Craig, I would be happy to do it free, and I will use a CD from my stock, so it would just cost you postage. Contact me at afbrookes@aol.com. |

It might be nice to ask Paul if you can distribute his music for him without payment before you offer.
We already have a forum member in good standing illegally copying and selling his music lessons on ebay.
Geez.... and some people wonder why people that play for a living don't spend much time here... _________________ Bob |

Bob, as Craig has a cassette copy, someone providing him with a CD isn't distributing, but merely performing a transcription service. I didn't see Alan offering OTHER people that same deal. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Why dose someone always have to comment on a good subject and seem to send it out in left field.Alan has no intentions toward taking any money out of Paul's pocket. This is the same thing as owning a cassette tape and being able to copy it to a CD yourself.Nice jesture Alan _________________ Steeling is still legal in Arizona |

Thanks Barry and Alan, maybe for now I'll just look for a new belt for my deck. I have quite a few great tapes I'd like to be able to hear again. Thanks God at least they're not on eight track. _________________ Regards, Craig

You could probably purchase a new / used cassette deck from Craigs List or any local pawn shop for the same or less than trying to repair your current one. _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.

Paul released a double CD a few years ago titled "Looking Back". 38 tracks altogether that include most selections from his earlier albums. |
