Wow, what a nice blend of pop, Hawaiian, jazz, styles. Interesting ideas and techniques. Mellow and exciting at the same time. I really enjoyed listening to that.

Steve, that was awesome, it really reminded me a lot of Speedy West, and I mean that with the deepest respect.

Wow indeed, Steve! I admire your creativity on the instrument. I understand mike's reference to Speedy. Your volume pedal really enhances the vibe. Cool!

Thanks Doug...your videos were actually part of the inspiration for recording this song. I love the way you stick to the melody, bringing out all the sweetness...I, as usual, got a little distracted along the way Rolling Eyes

I probably need to check out more of Speedy's stuff...Most of my exposure to him has been on the Jimmy Bryant stuff. Any suggestions?

That Crate is one of their original speaker cabs, with a Celestion 100 watt speaker I put in. I've played some pretty big venues with that crappy little cab...did a bunch of dates opening for Zac Brown a couple years back, running a Peavey JSX tube head thru that thing...I got asked (well, told) to turn down a couple of times...it was awesome!
I hope the play is going well - you playing any steel on it?

Are you playing with a little flatpick, Shocked or are you just reasonably militant about keeping your index finger in reserve for harmonics?

Thanks Chris!

David, I'm using a normal sized flatpick.

Andy, that Speedy stuff is KILLIN'! I'm definitely getting a copy. It's great to hear him featured...the stuff with Jimmy Bryant is great, but he was definitely playing second fiddle.
