I'm in a whimsical mood.
We have the all-pull, that sounds very good by most standards.
Then we have the push-pull, that sounds great per critical acclaim.
How would an all-push PSG sound?
(I'm only half kidding. I don't know which half, though.)

Do you have something in mind, Bill? I'd like to see a diagram of a changer finger for all-push. Anything I come up with has too many springs.

Bill, one of the problems with a "push" mechanism is the tendency for the longer push rods to bow when pressure is applied. This can be overcome with heavier rods.
Bobby, why extra springs? Just one (as used in an all-pull) is fine. Any all-pull changer instantly becomes an all-push mechanism by simply activating it from the opposite side, and all that requires is one additional pivot lever or bellcrank. |

Chalker is the only one who might have been interested in an All-Push system, since he did a lot of lowering; rather than raising! Then the new problem would have been: “Now how do we Raise?” “BJ”
