A young man brought me what I think is a ShoBud Pro III guitar to work on. It's a little unique and I hope and would like to find out some history about it if possible.
At first glance I thought it might have been one of Curly's guitars, but have found out that it is not.
This guitar is a double 10, 8 and 4. Red Lacquer finish, with the C-6 on the outside neck and E-9 on the inside neck. The C-6 has a double pickup that looks to be original ShoBud pickups. The E-9 has a narrow mount George L E-66. On the front apron where the "Pro III" usually is (by the tuning key end)there is instead a very nicely done pearl or abolony inlay in script font about 1-1/4" high that says CNC.
I talked to the young man's father and he said that he and his brother bought it at a pawn shop or music store in Oklahoma a few years ago. He didn't know anything about its' history and this is as much as I know as of now.
To anybody with any knowledge or information about this guitar, I would very much appreciate the info.
Thanks,
BB
