For the newest Carter U-12, 7x5, most requested tuning there are several pickups available. They are GL-12-1, GL-E66, BL-XR-16, BL-712, BL-912, and GL-TPP. Given a list of tunes below, which pickup would you ask for? Which pickup if you wanted to mess around with the below tunes but also do some traditional country, maybe some Hank Thompson stuff?

Memories Are Made of This
Innamorata
Stardust
Way You Look Tonight
Fly Me to the Moon
They Can't Take That Away from Me
Luck Be a Lady
Strangers in the Night
Kick in the Head
Send in the Clowns
That's Life

Thanks;

Sherman

Sherman,
Don't forget Wallace Tru-tones. I just ordered one from Jerry for my Carter U-12. I've been playing with a Geo L 12-1 which I think sounds pretty good - I'm just looking for something better.

I took delivery on a new Carter in the fall of 02 w/ TW pups - which were not what I wanted to hear, put in XR-16s at Bud's suggestion, sounded Great!! Tried a True Tone, sounded good, but I still like XR-16s better for my ear. Last week I picked up a used 97 Carter D-10 w/ TPPP pups, sounds great!! I kinda like this guitar better for C6th, but still like the XR-16s best for E9th. Your mileage may vary...
