Eric Weissberg is the only steel player listed on the "Rocky Mountain High" album. I always thought it was Eric too. But it wouldn't be the first time someone was left out of the credits.

No steel listed on "Rocky Mountain High" - probably an oversight by Praguefrank. Does sound like Weissberg on "Rocky Mountain High" and I doubt he would have missed John Denver session. Weissberg was the first call steel man in NYC in the '70's. I didn't know they cut Denver in NYC.

Hey Steve – I know that is funny how Praguefrank listed that. Usually a discography reads “same as above personal” or “similar as above personal.” I didn't know Denver was first cut in NYC. I would have thought L.A., too. Reading up on it: Denver's producer was Milt Okun who produced Peter Paul & Mary – The Chad Mitchell Trio – The Brothers Four. Denver came up from those folk groups hence Milt Okun / NYC. On “Rocky Mountain High” Weissberg’s part starts @ 2:54. A characteristic of his style is how he pedals off the 3rd string.
