Back from St. Louis & back to Pickin with my new Steelair amp. First time out with it. All I can say it was worth the investment. What a Great amp.

I'm really liking mine too, especially with the black box in front of it. Gigging with it tomorrow night, will report back soon Whoa!

Just wondering... do most players have the small combo size or the larger "Pro" size? I think the specs are the same on each amp, but with the Pro the head can be separated from the cabinet?

+1 for the "smaller combo" size here.

I'm in tone heaven right now with my Jackson. black box, el capistan, wet reverb, and Quilter Steelaire combo amp. I love how clear and warm this amp is, also love the 2 midrange adjustments. The reverb is great, I am just really attached to my wet reverb pedal.
Doug, pretty sure the amps are the same except for the detachable head on the pro model. the cabinet looks a bit fancier too. I think two of these amps run in stereo would be incredible !!

I would imagine for a $400.00 premium you should receive more benefits than a detachable head.
