Stars & Steel Concert- Benton, Il Oct 23, 24 & 25

Post by Bobby D. Reed »

It may be a little early to post this but I want to make sure all has a chance to know about it early.
This line-up has to be one of the best in years for most all steel shows. Mike Johnson, Tommy White, Joe Wright, Ron Elliott, Lynn Owsley, Pat Severs and a lot more great players and singers along with a couple of special guests not yet confirmed.
Ticket prices remain as last year and all you have to do to get advance prices is call me at 615 419 9642 or email and I will put you on a list so at the door you will receive advance prices. Vendor booths are available at last year's price. Motels in the area are also giving us great rates like last year. The Benton Civic Center has lots of room for your displays.
For more info give me a call. Thanks to all.....Bobby

I'm convinced that this line-up is as good as it gets around the steel guitar world so if you guys love steel guitar like I do I urge you to attend and support this event. The ticket prices and motels are lower that all the other events of any size that I'm aware of and are the same as last year although we have added many more high profile players.
Once again my # is 615 419 9642. Call or email for advance prices or to reserve Vendors booth. Your support is necessary to keep steel guitar events alive and well. Thanks again in advance and special thanks to Bob and the forum for this oppurtunity to post this....Bobby

Benton Show

Post by Bill Dobkins »

The first time I met Bobby was in 07 at Benton. This show has a very homey atmosphere. Bobbies show just didn't have the same feel after moving to Mount Vernon. There is a certain amount of intimacy at Benton, a closeness if you want to put it that way. That show is the reason I bought a Steel and started playing. If you want a top notch show be there, you won't regret it.

Thanks Bill for your kind words.Hey guys, if you have a steel or two for sale or related equipment a vendor's booth is available and at very near the price of general admission for 3 days. Also this is the chance to sell some of that stuff you have been intending to thin out. ....Bobby

I have also added the "ole pro guitar player "Gregg Galbraith" to the Nashville back-up band. Check him out on Mike Johnson's Midnite CD.
