I was finally able to upgrade from my Carter Starter to a Sho-Bud Pro1. My Carter was great, but the tone of my Sho-Bud is incredible. I'm pleased with my purchase, and just wanted to post about it.
I wish I could post a link to a picture, but I don't have a web site to host it.

Thanks to Steel Guitar Nashville for a great transaction.

Congrats, Stephen, and welcome to the Sho~Bud family! Just be patient, it may take a while to really become familiar with a Sho~Bud, but once you are, you´ll love it even more.
If you really want to appreciate its tonal qualities, you might also consider getting an amp that is better suited for steel guitar. If you want to stick with Peavey, they offer a lot of those, you can even find a used one for less money.

Regards, Joe H.

Yes ditto congratulations on a great old steel.
Shot and BE did some fine work back when.
I may get another steel in the future,
but I will still want my Pro-II around.

And I nice jump in tone you just took.

If in doubt drop a line to Ricky Davis about any mechanical questions that the rest of us don't have good answers for. He's da man on these babies!

Congrats on the new used Sho-Bud. Tone!
An Evans amp compliments my Pro II (1978) very nicely.

Steve, good for you. My first steel guitar was a Pro 1. I bought it new in 1977. The tone was killer and the thing stayed in tune really well. Ive had three guitars since and never have had one that I loved as much as the Pro 1. I have never figured out why I sold it. I have a Super Pro now and a Sierra U-12. The Pro 1 was better sounding. Good for you.
