Hello Brother Steelers,
Just a quick note to tell everyone about our quarterly show/jam that will be happening on Sunday September the 28th at THE LUMBERYARD i Roscoe Texas. We had one there a couple of months ago, and it was fantastic. Great crowd, great pickers, great band, and a great venue. This particular show/jam is immediately following my Steel School and we are fortunate to have Steve Palousek as our special guest player. As I've said many times before, Steve is simply amazing, and extremely skilled on the pedal steel. We will have around 8 or 10 steel pickers as usual, so come ready to pick. As usual, our band Wildfire will be the backup band, with Kacey Toliver, Rabbit Pack and Todd Baird. The last jam was so successful, that the Lumberyard owner, Cody, came out very quickly and said and I quote "We gotta do this again, and quickly)" You never know who will show up, and the last time Carco Clavo showed too.
It will be a good afternoon of STEELIN, so come out and enjoy.
Later,
Larry Toliver

Larry is triple excited about this one. I hope most of the Dusty Creek Band, that I attempt to play in, will be there. At least I'm working on them. Most of them live nearby. Larry Rains is our guitarist. Surely he could drive bother Bobby, inventor of the Rains guitar, over from Abilene.

Don't miss this WTSGA meeting. You don't have to be a steel player to enjoy an afternoon of good music like this. Steve Palousek, in my opinion is one of the top steel pickers in the world. You can listen, you can dance, you can socialize with some of the top steel pickers in our area and even some of the bottom ones like me.

Fred, let us know ahead if you are gonna be in our area and maybe we could get something together. We have them about once every 3 months, but nothing is written in stone.

Thanks to everyone for the posts and replies. Well, Steve Palousek is coming and I just talked to Wally Moyers this morning, and he is coming as well. This show is promising to be one of the best we've had. I am gearing up as we speak. This is one jam you don't want to miss. Look forward to seeing everyone.

Just a quick update on the Jam. Steve and I both will be in good form, since we are coming off of our school which is Friday the 26th & 27th. We are doing gigs on both nights after the school, and I told Steve I'd split whatever I make with him, and he is doing that too. So, all day Friday, all day Saturday, Friday night, Saturday night, and by Sunday....we ought to be limbered up pretty good. Honestly, come on out and here some great STEELIN' at the West Texas Steel Jam, at the nice venue of the Lumberyard. See yall there!

Just a quick update on the Steel Jam. It looks to be a good one with lots of good steel players, and a nice crowd coming. I'm getting ready to pick & grin and have a great time with all of the west texas area pickers. Come on out and see Steve Palousek and Wally Moyers, Danny Letz, Randall Palmore, Shady Mitchell, Leon Langley, Randy Hughes, Gerry Cockrell, Rex Mayfield, Ray Harrison, and Me at the Lumberyard, in Roscoe Texas. You'll be glad you came! Good food, Good Friends, Good company, and GOOD STEELIN!
