Lost my only son

Post by Willis Vanderberg »

Sad to report I have lost my only son this week as a result of one of the many so called wars we have been involved in since WWll. We have never won any of them and had our butts kicked more than a few times. But thanks to the military /industrial establishment and our wonderul elected officials many of our young men never came home. Many more are still missing and still more are away form our shores. I recently heard the Detroit Tigers say they were broadcasting to our troops in 176 countries around the world. What in the world is happening here.
Sorry if I rambled on and strayed into this no mans land.If I sound a little bitter , I am

So sorry to hear that news. Your comment about the Detroit Tigers "greeting" says a lot and your bitterness is understood. I hope the knowledge that this family of steelers all care can help ease your burden of pain somehow.

Willis, I thank your son for his service to our country and his sacrifice, ALL. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I retired two weeks ago after serving 27 years in law enforcement. We lost officer Scott Patrick in a senseless shooting from a traffic stop in the same county I work in and the community where I grew up, a week after I retired. It really hit home. I am truly sorry for your loss and pray Gods peace and love be demonstrated in your family's lives over the coming days and months.
