Long Black Train

Post by Corey Sullivan »

FYI...

Long Black Train by Josh Turner is a great song to jam to!!

I've only been playing Steel about a month but I've picked up a lot by playing this song.

QUESTION: If you were playing out what moves or where on the neck would you play? I am sort of stuck on the 6th fret....as I said I am a beginner. Thanks in advance!!

Try frets 1 and 13 with pedals down for more options. Step on and off your pedal(s) in that position for a classic pedal steel sound.

Add a Matchbro effects unit and you will be right in the groove.

(ON my BOSS SE70 I adjust the resonence in a chorus patch to get that sound).
