Hey David, Bill died? Thats too bad, he was a great guy. I visited and played with him often when he lived up in Laclede, Idaho.

This is indeed sad news. One of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. I am so sorry to hear this news. Funny thing I tried to call today and for some reason feared the worse.

RIP my friend.

Hate to hear this. I sold Bill my Zum many years ago. That was shortly before, or during his move to TX. I really enjoyed the couple of time we chatted. So sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear about Bill, I spent several times up in the Spokane and Texas area visiting with him. If it had not been for Bill, there never would have been a PSG association in the Spokane area. Will miss him.

David - It has been many months since I've logged onto the forum so I am just now reading this news. Loved Bill. He was one big hearted guy with a perpetually positive disposition. Sorry to hear of his passing. Hope all is well with you and Red.

So Sad

Post by Tom D Orazi »

I just started playing steel again recently and checked into Forum after a very long time. I was a friend of Bill when he lived in Idaho but fell out of touch when he moved to Texas. I just saw this and it saddens me. I will always think of him as you see him in the photo above. We had some great times!!!

Sorry to hear of Bill's passing from two of my fraternities... steel guitar and ham radio. Prayers for his family, and this amateur radio tribute to him...

Silent Keys
Their tubes may no longer glow, And their transmitters no longer send;
Their keys are still and silent now, But their signals will never end.

Ham shacks now are silent and lonely, Their letters are no longer aired;
So let us not forget their calls, Nor the time together we shared.

Their souls are now of the stars, As are the signals they did send;
Their calls are traveling the heavens, On and on they go for time without end.

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus!
