Is the holy grail reverb a wet reverb or just spring. Anybody try the Neunaber wet reverb ,what kind of buffer does it have?

The Grail is a digital reverb with 3modes: Spring; Hall and "Flerb", which adds a subtle flanging to the reverb.
The Grail can't be a Wet Reverb any more than a Ford can be a Camaro: Wet is a Neunaber brand.

One handy thing about the Grail: if you set the mode switch to Spring and adjust the knob for a nice modest reverb for uptempo songs, it goes to a nice fat wash tasteful for slow ballads just by switching to Hall.

Flerb I only used for 80s-style stuff where I wanted a chorusy shimmer. The odd thing was that the flanging only became evident on the tail. I liked it

As to your Wet question, I bet Brian designed his own.

One more thing seems maybe the tone bar is killing the tone. when I put the tone bar on the string the sound just goes flat sounds great without it and that's on new strings.

How much bar pressure do you put in with your right hand? You need a good bit, but too much is hard on your wrist. I apply just enough for tone.
