Lately I've been experiencing a decrease in volume.
When I start out playing the volume seems okay and then I begin to lose some volume. The set up I'm using as follows: out of my steel into a Goodrich match box model 60 to Goodrich 120 vol. pedal to my amp, new steelaire combo. This also happened using my Nashville 400 amp. Could the problem be with the volume pedal, matchbox or something else. I've even thought about the venues I play, plugging into outlets with all the equipment being on the same circuit, maybe too much draw. Any suggestions?

I would look at batteries in devices.

I second Scott. Give the Matchbox a new battery.

Same thing with me. I was going nuts checking everything. It turned out to be a cable.

| I would start out by eliminating the volume pedal and anything else in line and go directly from the steel to the amp, with a known good guitar cable. If its OK there, then add one item at a time until you find what is causing it. |

| I've been using George L's cables, exclusively, since they first came out back in the 80's. I've never had a problem with one. |

Thank you all. I did go direct from my steel into the amp and it appears ok, haven't had the chance to do the process of elimination yet as we just left on vacation. Will check it out when I return and let you know my findings. Thanks again.

I am 56 years old. I remember living back in Toronto when I was 16 and playing 6-string rock guitar. One of my good friends rented a gigantic Ampeg V4 amp and 2 4x12 cabinets on my birthday for me to play through. It sounded like sh*t and I couldn't figure out why. A couple of weeks later I checked the guitar cable, which I thought was perfect. It turned out to be leaky, and highly resistive. It was completely attenuating my signal.
Check the cable! Replace it with another to make sure. Surprising things can happen even when you think something is fine.
