Toni has informed me of the arrangements for Bobby's visitation and funeral.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, July 16 at the Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston 77065

The funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, and with gravesite services at 1:15pm.

Herb, Thanks for posting this. I'm sure many of us have been waiting for the arrangements. I'll be there.

Herb, you might want to explain the name difference. Bobby Bowman was a stage name and Smith, I understand, was Bobby's legal name. The obituary and funeral may be under the Smith name?

Bobby's actual legal name is Jones. Bobby told me that as a young steel player in Houston, he was named "Bobby Bowman" by Herb Remington because he played like Billy Bowman.

He's registered at the funeral home as Bobby Jones.

From the information I received from the family, the funeral service will be at the funeral home. I imagine the gravesite will be elsewhere.

I've checked the website obituaries for Klein Funeral home several times and I still don't see the listing for Bobby, either Jones or Bowman. Just curious.

Jim, I'm not responsible for, or have any idea about, what is on the Klein Funeral Home Obituaries page. The information I posted in my first entry is what I got yesterday morning from Toni herself, and re-confirmed again this morning.

See you there.
