Some days I just hate opening up this section of the forum.
Sadly , today is one of those days.

So sad to hear of Bobby's passing.
He was a genuine great person.
He will be missed by all who knew him.

My condolences & prayers to his family & friends
of which he had very many.
Ron

We need to turn the TWANG up a little

It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

Thanks for everything Bobby...my thoughts and prayers for the family. We'll carry on Bobby but the load just got a lot heavier without you. However, all the memories will live on with those who had the good fortune of knowing you. Carl

Bobby had made his preparations for his meeting with the Lord. Even though we've been trying to prepare ourselves for his departure from our midst, I for one have failed miserably. There is a huge vacant place in my heart with Booby's passing.
He was a true treasure to the human race.
My sincerest condolences to Toni and the family.

Goodbye old friend, you will be missed, but we will see you again, save a spot for all of us.

If you knew BB you know that he would not want us to be sad about his passing, AND he would want you to love the Lord with all of your heart.

Bobby was a friend to so many. I always enjoyed visiting with him. He's with Jesus now and as our mutual friend said, "Go rest high on that mountain!"

Prayers for the family, loved ones and many, many friends!

The inevitable has happened and it is with much sadness that I recognize the passing of my good friend Bobby Bowman. I never met him in person but we spoke for hours on the SSGC and I feel like we have met. My sympathy to Toni and the family. God Bless you!

Losing a loved one or dear friend is one of lifes most difficult times. Losing Bobby Bowman today is one of those times. I did not know him well but the times I was around him or visited with him he was always so kind. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends. The steel guitar community has suffered greatly this week with the loss of two fantastic players. RIP Bobby Bowman, you will certainly be missed.

As Ron wrote in a previous post."Some days I just hate to open this section of the forum" This is indeed a sad, sad, day. Like many of you that hung out in the chat room late at night I remember how
the room seemed to light up when Bobby came into the room. Though we had not met in person he became an instant friend. I will always treasure our conversations in the chat room or on the phone. Like many of you I knew this day was coming but how do you prepare for a loss like this. My prayers and condolences go out to Toni and the family.

Wow, when I talked to Bobby recently, you could tell that he knew this day was close.

I know that in 2013 at the TSGA, we did the emcee work together and he always had that smile, even though it was obvious that he was in pain.

We will miss you brother Bobby. Rest in peace.

Bobby always had time for me, no matter what else was going on - ever. I will never forget that about him, and I will remember him fondly as long as I live.
