What video cam do you guys suggest for recording video's to be used on youtube and so on? Wouldn't i want something that i can come out of my mixer and into the recorder? I have a great video recorder, but nowhere to import from the mixer. I hear these guys on youtube, and they sound great. Nothing too complex, i'm a redneck hillbilly. Thanks in advance for your help. God Bless

George, you can add the audio later... use a Zoom or otherwise audio recorder, then import the track(s) using editing software to combine them. Or you can use some kind of audio preamp to change the signal from line-level to mic-level and plug that into your camera. Or you can spend bux on a camera with line-level inputs.

Your camera probably has audio compression that you can't bypass, you'll be fighting that. Good luck!

I use an iPad to record video and my computer to record the audio, then combine both with a software like iMovie. The iPad has a really great camera in it, and you can use it for so many other things, that's why I opted for it instead of a camcorder.

How do you mount the iPad?
There's so many stands to choose from.
Which one is the most secure and adjustable?

I have thought about buying a Zoom Q4 hd camcorder. Does anyone else own the Zoom Q4?
Sweetwater music has the best price that I have seen on the Q4 at $299.00 but that's still an expensive purchase for trial and era.
I currently own a Kodak playsport and its not all that great at recording live video and audio.
