Whenever you come around - Steel Solo (Paul Franklin)

Post by Christoph Heermann »

A while back somebody posted this link to a live version of Whenever you come around by Vince Gill. There is a beautiful steel solo by Paul Franklin starting at 3:15:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiBS8cINVHg

Here's an attempt of tabbing this out (using TablEdit). Any comments appreciated...

Great Solo

Beautiful Solo from the master ... thank you for sharing and for tabbing this out. It is now stuck in my head. Too bad my band will never play this classic song ... since nobody could sing it ...

This is a great tab.....thanks.
I saw Paul with Vince at the Vermont State Fair a few years back and Vince did this song.
There is no pedal steel solo on the recorded version
so hearing Paul play a solo in this was quite cool.
And of course, it was a great solo.

Great tab,
