2002 D-10, 8f/5k, LL II, Emmons set-up, all stock. An extraordinary guitar of very high quality, typical of the newer Emmons, thanks to the Ron Lashley.

I owned a '67 PP for 25 years...sold it and switched to another brand...I'm glad to be back with Emmons.

Hi Nick,
I'm in with my '72 D10 push/pull
It's set up with 8x5 almost original. Rosewood mica with original paperwork/copedant from Emmons. Set up and LKV added by Bobbe Seymour.

My main guitar is a black, D-10, Lashley LeGrande II that has seen considerable customization. Ron has always treated me very well with my pedal and lever requests. I bought the guitar new from Steel Guitars of Mississippi a few years back. Since purchase I have added 3 knee levers for the C6th neck and have a 9th foot pedal on hand for installation next. I love this guitar and never plan to sell it. I've just got toooo much of myself in it.

1977 Rosewood mica push pull SD-10 'loafer'. set up now as 3p/5k (4th pedal still there just removed from the pedal bar/slack removed from pull rods Image, BL-710 pickup. The only thing that would keep me from playing this guitar is fi I could find one that soudned good enough, and played as easy as this one (then this would stay home wher it is safe, and let whatever else take the abuse of gigging Image

My main guitar is a 1999 Black D10 8x10 with BL 710s. Jack Strayhorn built this guitar which was custom ordered by Robin Mims thru Bobbe Seymore. It is the best sounding Emmons guitar I have ever heard. Folks who have heard this guitar have told me the same. I have owned multiple Emmons, including PP guitars. I don't know why this one sounds better... but it does.

Now... which guitar is the best? This is a relative term Nick and is a personal view held by each individual. You might remember that I was (and remain) a Carter supporter. I think they are great guitars but never claimed them to be the best. I've owned MSA, Zum, ZB, BMI, Mullen, Carter, Shobud, Remington, Dekley, and Emmons. I've played Fender,MCI, EMCI, Lone Star, Fessendon, JCH, Excell, GFI, Sierra, and Williams, and Bobby Bowmans B-Steel. Bobby gets my vote for most innovative!

Best? dunno... I think I like my old Shobud Super Pro II or my lacquer Emmons PP best. It's a toss up. Sure wish I would have held onto both of those guitars... but you know how it is. We buy, sell, trade...etc.

I sure wouldn't mind that lacquer D10 you've got!

75' Wood/Wood "fat back" 8/4 - got her new in 75 and had Mike Cass take 20+ years of "gig wear" off her with a complete restoration last year.

79 Emmons Original D 10, 8 and 4, black with chrome fretboards, looks like new. I put an Emmons sticker on the front to give it a vintage look. I think this one has that sound that everyone talks about !!
